bought a 9442A amp. any suggestians?

I wasn't looking to buy an amp. and i was lookin at this amp.

then i saw this one.

the fuse holder is missing and one of the level knobs is snapped of but after reading the specs. i'm planning on replacing the pots with medical grade versions anyway.

i was just going the use my old sansui to run my A7s. but i like the idea of using an altec product with them instead. from what i read on ak and another site, most people are really pleased with the sound of these. i also like the service manual pdf that goes with it.

Not a bad amp at all. I sold a 9444A not long ago.

I like my 9444A. I don't know much about the 9442A other than it being lower power.

well my amp came in today. turns out they shipped me the wrong one. the one i bought had a knob broken off and the fuse holder was missing. this one is intact. plus it came with a 1250 low pass module. and it's a silver anniversary. someone made a mistake. i'll call them tomorrow and see what they want to do.
i want to keep it. i planned on replacing the pot's with med grade pots anyway. so it might save me the trouble.

Judging from the ad, they may just have a stack, and take the one on top. The ad looks fairly generic, and I don't see where it says that you get the exact item pictured. Hopefully, that's the case.

alright i talked to "ken". i have been given an accidental upgrade. he said thanks for being honest and asking about it. it was his mistake and just keep it. and to keep an eye on his auctions, if i see something i need let him know.
now does anyone have a 1250kz low pass module. to go with the one i have?

Awesome! I would keep an eye on ebay....... and don't forget to look for the EV version! The EV version may go lower.
